The Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) will release the first admission merit list towards its PG Admissions 2023 today, August 17, 2023. The merit list is expected to be uploaded and made available on the official website shortly, and registered candidates will be able to check their JNU PG Admission Status 2023 by visiting jnuee.jnu.ac.in. As per the official schedule, candidates who will be shortlisted in the merit list today for admissions would be required to do the pre-enrolment registration, pay the fees online and lock their seats from today till August 21, 2023. 


Following the first merit list, the JNU will further release the second merit list and demerit list for supernumerary seats on August 25, 2023. The pre-enrolment registrations for the second merit list and supernumerary seats shall be held from August 25 to August 28, 2023. Notably, the JNU will shortlist suitable candidates for admissions into its various PG courses based on the performance of candidates in the CUET-PG 2023 Exam. 


After the release of PG merit lists 2023, the JNU will also start the document verification for shortlisted candidates. The document verification process for Masters programme in Foreign KLanguages will be held from September 1, while the document verification for candidates in other postgraduate programmes shall be done from September 4 to September 13, 2023. The final merit list for JNU PG Admissions 2023 is scheduled to be released by September 19, 2023.

After the release of the First JNU PG Merit List 2023 today, registered candidates will be able to check the merit list, following the below-given steps:



  • Visit the official website - jnuee.jnu.ac.in

  • On the homepage, look for the link to ‘JNU PG First Merit List 2023’ and click on it

  • The JNU PG First Merit List 2023 shall now be displayed on your screen

  • Check your rank in the merit list

  • Download the PG merit List for future reference
