Jharkhand Schools Closed News: In response to the severe heatwave affecting the entire state, the Jharkhand government has taken the decision to temporarily close all schools for a period of three days from today, June 12. The secretary of the school education and literacy department, K Ravi Kumar, issued an official order on Sunday stating that due to the extreme temperatures and heatwave conditions, all types of schools, including government, non-government aided/non-aided (including minority), and private schools operating in the state, will remain closed from June 12 to June 14.
The weather department has forecasted that the current weather conditions, including the heatwave, are likely to persist for at least the next five days. Heatwave alerts have been issued for certain regions of the state until June 15.
The Ranchi Meteorological Centre has reported that there is a slight chance of light rain, primarily in the eastern areas of the state. However, this rainfall is unlikely to have a significant impact on reducing the high temperatures.
The maximum temperature across the state is ranging between 38 to 44 degrees Celsius, exacerbating the heatwave conditions.
