The EWS Category window will be live from today i.e. from 11th March till 15 March 2019 on the aforementioned website.
Candidates who had successfully submitted their online applications for JEE Main April 2019 exam, must go through their forms and make corrections, if need be.
Candidates whose Gross Annual income is less than 8 lakh, and who do not fall under any reservation scheme for the Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and the Socially and Educationally Backward classes, can avail the 10% reservation benefit in Civil Posts and Services in Government of India and for admissions in Central Educational Institutions.
Thereby, candidates who had either participated in JEE Main January 2019 exam or are gearing up to appear for JEE Main April 2019, and are eligible for the EWS Quota must update their category in the form available under the correction window as the same was not available earlier. Such candidates are not required to upload the EWS Category Certificate as of now, however, for JEE Advanced, EWS Category Certificate will be required to be uploaded on its official website.
NTA is scheduled to organize JEE Main 2019 Second Attempt examination from 6th to 20th April 2019, across the country for candidates seeking admissions to engineering and architecture courses commencing academic year 2019-20. The JEE Mains April 2019 Admit Cards will be released on 20th March 2019, this month, while the result of April exam will be declared on 30th April 2019.
