New Delhi: The Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) 2021 which was to be held in January could be shifted to February due to the coronavirus pandemic. Since 2019, the National Testing Agency (NTA) conducts JEE twice a year – in January and April. According to a report by Times of India, the exam will now be held in the last week of February but the registration process will begin in December 2020. However, students should note that there has been no official notification regarding the postponement of the exams yet.

This year the coronavirus outbreak had caused a delay in the exams this year and many students had appealed for a deferment.

The JEE is a national level competitive exams are for admission to various undergraduate engineering and architecture courses. The registration for the exams is likely to begin next month.

How to fill the JEE Exam 2021 registration form

  • Visit the official website jeemain.nta.nic.in.

  • Click on “Application Form” and note down the application form number that you will receive

  • Fill the form by entering the required information. Candidates will also need to upload photo and other documents.

  • Click on 'Submit'

  • Finally, pay the registration fee


Last month the Ministry of Education Thursday announced that the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main examinations will be conducted in more regional Indian languages. The announcement was made by Union Education minister Ramesh Pokhriyal who said that the decision was made in line with the vision of National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. Pokhriyal also said that the decision was taken after Prime Minister Narendra Modi pointed out that top-scoring countries in PISA examination use mother tongue as a medium of instruction. "The decision of JAB will help students comprehend questions better and score higher," the minister said in another tweet. Currently, the JEE Main examinations are conducted in only three languages - English, Hindi, and Gujarati.
