JEE Main 2019: The National Testing Agency has released an important notice for abroad candidates who will be appearing for the April examination scheduled to be organized from Sunday, 7th April 2019 till Friday, 12th April 2019. As per the notice, NTA cited that during JEE Main 2019 January examination, many candidates who were to appear at the examination centres outside India, reported at their local time. The National Testing Agency has clarified that Joint Entrance Exam (JEE) Main is organized as per Indian Standard Time (IST), simultaneously in examination centres in and outside India.

Due to reporting the exam centres at the wrong time according to IST, many candidates could not partake the JEE (Main) January 2019 examination.

“It has been observed during JEE (Main) January 2019 Examination that some Candidates abroad reported at their respective Examination Centres as per the Local time of Cities,  While, they were supposed to report at the Examination Centre as per the Indian Standard Time (IST),” read the notice issued by NTA for JEE Main April 2019 examination foreign candidates.

To dodge such a situation from arising again disrupting the plans of aspirants sitting for the exam from locations outside India, NTA has suggested abroad candidates to appear for JEE Main April 2019 examination as per the exam slot given according to IST in their Admit Card.

“In order to avoid such a situation, the Candidates appearing in the JEE (Main) April2019 in the Cities Abroad are hereby once again advised to report at their Examination Centers well in advance as per Indian Standard Time (IST) as mentioned in Admit Card” read the notice further.
