JEE Advanced 2019 Registration: The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Roorkee has begun the registrations for JEE Advanced 2019 on its official website – jeeadv.ac.in. The Joint Entrance Examination (Advanced) 2019 is scheduled to be held on Monday, 27th May 2019, across the country for candidates who secured a place among top 245000 (including all categories) in JEE Main 2019. The online registration window will be live from today i.e. 3rd May 2019 till 9th May 2019, 5 pm IST next week.

Candidates who’ve achieved the top spot in JEE Main 2019 and are eyeing a seat in any of the twenty-three IITs must register themselves on or before 9th May 2019 so as to appear in the JEE Advanced 2019 entrance exam later this month.

JEE Advanced 2019 Exam Date and Schedule:

JEE (Advanced) 2019 Examination will be conducted in a fully Computer Based Test mode as per the following examination schedule:

Monday, 27th May 2019.

Paper-1 – 9 am to 12noon IST – Session 1

Paper - 2 – 2pm to 5pm IST – Session 2

It is mandatory for candidates to attempt both the exams.

Eligibility Criteria for JEE Advanced 2019 for Indian Nationals:

1. As per the official JEE Advanced 2019 notification, approximately 2,45,000 candidates will be eligible to appear for the JEE Advanced 2019 examination on the basis of their JEE Main 2019 Paper-I Ranks.

2. The applicant must not have appeared for JEE Advanced 2017 or earlier.

3. The applicant must have appeared for his/her Class 12th Board Examination for the first time in the year 2018 or 2019. S/he must have scored minimum 75% aggregate marks in Class 12th (or equivalent examination), 65% for SC, ST, PwD candidates or made it to the top 20 percentile of successful candidates.

4. The applicant must be born on or after 1 st October 1994. Five years age relaxation is applicable for candidates belonging to SC, ST and PwD categories.

5. The applicant must NOT have accepted admission at any IIT earlier.

Eligibility Criteria for Foreign Nationals:

Foreign nationals who do not fall under the OCI or PIO category are eligible to apply for JEE Advanced 2019 directly. Interested candidates need to fulfil the following conditions:

1. The applicant must have appeared for Class XII or its equivalent examination for the first time in either 2018 or 2019. S/he must have scored a minimum 75% aggregate marks or must be in top 20 percentile of successful candidates. The aggregate marks will be arrived at based on the candidate’s marks in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, a language subject, and any subject other than the aforementioned four subjects (the subject with the highest marks will be considered).

2. The applicant must be born on or after October 1, 1994. Age relaxation available for candidates who’ve served for a minimum period in the armed forces (or allied) as mandated by their country.

3. The applicant can attempt only two times for JEE Advanced consecutively.

4. The applicant must NOT have been admitted to an Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) before.
