New Delhi: The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) has issued a recruitment notification on its official website - www.isro.gov.in for as many as 182 posts including Technical Assistant, Scientific Assistant, Fireman, Technician B, Draughtsman B, Library Assistant, Hindi Typist, Catering Attendant A, Cook, and others. Interested candidates who possess requisite qualification can apply for the above posts on or before March 6 through the prescribed format on its official website.

The last date to pay application fee is March 7. According to reports, interested candidates can only apply for the posts online. Post applying for the aforementioned openings, candidates will get an online registration numbers, which must be retained carefully for future references.

Details of vacant posts:

Technician: 102 positions

Technical Assistant: 41 positions

Scientific Assistant: 7 positions

Fireman:4 positions

Draughtsman: 3 positions

Cook: 5 positions

Catering Attendant-A: 5 positions

Hindi-Typist: 2 positions

Library Assistant: 4 positions

Heavy Vehicle Driver: 4 positions

Light Vehicle Driver: 4 positions

Qualification:

Candidates applying for positions of cook, firemen, technician-B, driver, and draughtsman must be class XII pass along with ITI certification. For technical assistant positions, it is must for the applicants to have a relevant diploma. Those applying for the post of library assistant and scientific assistant must at least be a graduate from any recognised institute.

Age limit

While the minimum required age to apply for the posts is 18, the maximum age limit should not be more than 35 years for the posts of draughtsman, cook technician and driver. The upper age limit for those applying for posts of Hindi typist and catering attendant is 26 years.

According to reports, selected candidates will be paid a salary of up to Rs 44,900 per month based on their qualifications. The posts are temporary, but likely to continue indefinitely. ISRO has also mentioned that the number of posts indicated above is provisional and may vary depending on the actual requirements.

Selected candidates are liable to be posted in any of the Centres/Units of the Indian Space Research Organization/Department of Space situated across the country, as and when required.
