Indian Army SSC Recruitment 2019 to fill 189 Technical posts under Short Service Commission (SSC) is underway on the official website of the Indian Army – joinindianarmy.nic.in. The Indian Army is inviting applications from unmarried male and female candidates and widows of Defence Personnel. Out of the total 189 posts, 175 posts are for men and 14 posts for women under Short Service Commission (SSC) Tech, while 1 Tech and 1 Non-Tech post is for widows of defence personnel.
Interested and eligible candidates must submit their applications online on or before 21
st February 2019.

Eligibility Criteria:
SSC (Tech) – Male and Female
The applicant must possess an Engineering degree in the relevant branch. Final year students are eligible to apply for Short Service Commission.
SSCW – Widows of Defence Personnel
For SSCW (Non Tech) post, the applicant can be a Graduate in any stream.
For SSCW (Tech) post, the applicant must possess B.E/B.Tech in relevant branch.
Apart from the academic qualification, the applicant must be medically fit. Candidates must read through the official advertisement to know the terms and conditions in detail.

Age Limit:
SSC (Tech) – Male and Female:
The applicant must fall in the age bracket of 20 to 27 years as on 1
st October 2019.
SSCW - Widows of Defence Personnel
The applicant must not have attained more than 35 years of age as on 7
th October 2019.
Selection Process:
Candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of their applications and shortlisted candidates will be intimated via email for their SSB Interviews.
Pay Scale:
The selected Lady and Gentlemen cadets will be eligible to receive a fixed monthly stipend of Rs.56,100 during the training period of 49 weeks at OTA, Chennai, along with other allowances.
