ICAI CA Exams 2021: The Supreme Court of India will be hearing a petition seeking its order for the ICAI CA exam 2021 opt-out option, extra attempt and increased examination centres on Monday, June 28, 2021. In case the Covid-19 protocols can not be ensured, the plea also seeks the apex court's order regarding the postponement of the ICAI CA Exam 2021. 


The bench led by Justices AM Khanwilkar, Dinesh Maheshwari and Aniruddha Bose will hear the petition filed by Child Right Activist Anubha Shrivastava Sahai today.


The plea is challenging the June 5 notification of the ICAI CA Exam 2021 scheduled to commence from July 5, 2021, onwards. 


The petition seeks an extra attempt for the Intermediate and Final year students appearing under the old syllabus. It also seeks the top court's direction regarding the increase in the number of examination centre and to ensure at least a single examination centre is being provided in each district with a sitting arrangement of 50 students only. 


The petitioner has also sought the apex court's direction regarding the postponement of the ICAI CA Exam 2021 till a later date in view of the ongoing covid-19 pandemic. 


According to the guidelines released by the institute earlier on June 9, candidates will be allowed to carry the following items to the examination centre: 



  • Mask (Compulsory), Face Shield (Optional)

  • Gloves (Optional)

  • Transparent water bottle

  • Small hand sanitizer

  • Exam-related items/documents including Calculators, stationery items, Admit Card, etc
