The students took to social media platforms, to express that they are concerned for their health and demand a postponement of the November session of the exams. These exams have been merged with the July-August exams.
After much deliberation, the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) decided to cancel the exams scheduled from conducted from July 29 to August 16 and merged it with the November 2020 examination.

Students have taken to Twitter to raise the issue and some have even requested Subramaniam Swamy to help voice their demand to postpone the exams.
On June 29, the apex court had observed that ICAI should be flexible in conducting exams amid the Covid-19 pandemic and take care of candidates' concerns. The apex court had asked the institute to extend its ‘opt-out’ facility to include all students irrespective of whether they have selected the option earlier or not for the upcoming exams.
The ICAI at the time had said that over 500 examination centres had been identified and sanitized properly. It added that out of around 3,46,000 registered aspirants, only 53,000 have taken the 'opt-out' option.
