As per the official notification, the below mentioned papers of ICAI Intermediate and Final exams (both under the Old and New syllabus) will be divided into two parts viz Part I (MCQs) and Part II (Descriptive). Multiple sets of the MCQs booklet will be distributed viz A, B, C, D.
ICAI has confirmed that there will be no negative marking for wrong answers. The skill level required for the Part I MCQs would be either “knowledge and comprehension” or “application and analysis” as these questions will be either knowledge-based or application- based. These questions will not require any reasoning.
Furthermore, OMR Answer Sheets will be in English only for all candidates including the ones who’ve opted for Hindi medium. However, Papers 2, 3, 6, 7 and 8 of Intermediate Level (Both Old and New Syllabus), including the MCQ component will be bilingual for Hindi medium candidates.

The following papers will comprise of Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) of 1 or 2 marks, totalling 30 marks for Part I. Part II will be usual and will comprise of descriptive questions carrying 70 marks in all.
