IBPS had organized the Preliminary Examination for the IBPS Specialist Officers (SO) Recruitment 2018-19 under CRP- SPL-VIII-Recruitment of Specialist Officers on 30th December 2018, last month. Candidates who will qualify the same will be eligible to appear for the Mains Examination on 27th January 2019, later this month.
The Main Examination will carry 60 marks. It will comprise of 60 questions for the posts of Law Officer, IT Officer, Agriculture Field Officer, HR/Personnel Officer and Marketing Officer, and 47 questions (45 Objective + 2 Descriptive) for the post of Rajbhasha Adhikari to test Professional Knowledge of the candidates.
Interview round for candidates qualifying Mains is scheduled to be held in February 2019. IBPS aims to release the provisional list of allotment in April 2019.
The Preliminary Examination comprised of 150 questions carrying 125 marks. Candidates were given 120 minutes to attempt the same. Each section comprised of 50 questions and 40 minutes were allowed section-wise.
IBPS SO Preliminary Examination 2019 was divided in to three sections viz English Language (25 marks), Reasoning (50 Marks) and General Awareness with Special Reference to Banking Industry (50 Marks) for Law Officer and Rajbhasha Adhikari / Quantitative Aptitude (50 Marks) for IT Officer, Agriculture Field Officer, HR/Personnel Officer and Marketing Officer.
Candidates must score the section wise Cut-offs in order to qualify for the Main Examination.
