Joined UPSC After Working for 2 Years
Nidhi is originally from Gurugram, Haryana. After obtaining a degree in mechanical engineering, she took a job in a company in Hyderabad. After working for 2 years, she decided to prepare for UPSC. It was not easy for Nidhi to take this decision, as her career was almost set. However, she decided to become an IAS officer.
Her Family Placed a Condition
Despite working hard, Nidhi had to face failure in UPSC twice in a row. While she was trying to keep herself positive, her family put a condition before her - if she failed this time, she would have to get married. Nidhi accepted the condition but she also decided to work harder and clear the UPSC exam. She achieved an All-India Rank 83 in her third attempt. She finally joined her favourite Indian Administration Services.

Nidhi Siwach's Advice to Other Candidates
Nidhi believes that small mistakes become the reason for your failure in the UPSC journey. Therefore, while preparing, it is best to focus on these little things. According to her, self-study is the best way to crack this exam. Even if you fail, instead of getting disappointed, identify your shortcomings and rectify them. Hard work and a positive attitude are essential here.
