He has instructed school authorities to strictly follow all the covid-19 guidelines. As per the PTI report, the minister further said that the classes will resume while strictly adhering to COVID-19 standard operating procedures (SOPs) issued by the education department.
However, it is not mandatory for students to attend physical classes as online classes will continue simultaneously.
As per the directions from the government, students will have to get a consent letter from their parents in order to attend school.
Important guidelines:
- A gap of at least six feet has to be maintained between two students in order to ensure social distancing.
- Wearing a mask is mandatory.
- Thermal scanning and hand sanitization need to be done at the entrance gate of the school.
- Every student will be allotted a single desk and sharing of food or any other items will be prohibited.
Earlier on September 1, schools in Haryana had been reopened for classes 4 and 5. Previously, the state government had allowed physical classes to be resumed for students of classes 9 to 12 in July and students of classes 6 to 8 were allowed to return to schools later.
The minister further said that more than 70% of teachers have been vaccinated.
