Haryana's Directorate School Education has released a notification intimating the same while declaring school vacations.

This comes as a startling development as educational institutions are supposed to remain closed during Unlock 2 as well. The Home Ministry had released guidelines for Unlock 2 and according to them, schools, colleges and universities are supposed to remain closed till July 31.

Meanwhile, the colleges and universities in Haryana will remain closed till July 31 and a later point an announcement regarding them can also be expected.

The educational institutes have been closed since March after the Coronavirus situation in the country began to escalate and as India continues to battle the health crisis, they have remained shut.

The Home Ministry had planned for institutes to reopen during 'Unlock 3' but a decision regarding reopening of educational centres will be taken after seeking feedback from concerned authorities and all State and Union governments.

With Covid-19 cases in India continuing to rise exponentially, whether schools, colleges and universities in the country will reopen in Unlock 3 remains highly doubtful.
