New Delhi: In view of the steady decline in corona infection cases, schools are re-opening in many states of the country from today. These states include Madhya Pradesh and Haryana. In Madhya Pradesh, schools are being reopened today for students from class I to V, while schools for students from class I to III have been reopened in Haryana from today. However, the attendance of students during this period has not been made mandatory.


Schools From Class I To V Resume In Madhya Pradesh


In Madhya Pradesh, primary schools from class I to V are reopening today in view of the decline in covid-19 cases, with a 50 percent attendance limit. Earlier, the state government had allowed schools from class VI to XII to resume with a 50 per cent attendance. Student hostels for classes VIII, X, and XII can be run at full capacity from today. In addition, student hostels for class XI can be run with a 50 percent capacity.


The final decision on the opening of schools, hostels, and residential schools in the districts will be taken at the meeting of the concerned District Disaster Management Committees. With this, online classes will continue for the time being.


Haryana Schools For Classes I To III Reopen


In Haryana, schools have been reopened from today for students of classes I to III. It is mandatory to strictly adhere to the covid-19 norms issued by the Department of Education when the classes are being conducted. However, attendance in schools has not been made mandatory for students. Online classes will also continue during this period. Students will have to seek written permission from their parents to go to school.


Covid-19 Fuidelines For School & Students



  • The temperature of the students will be checked before they enter the class.

  •  Hands have to be sanitized.

  • Students will have to compulsorily wear masks.

  •  There will be a distance of at least six feet between the two pupils in the class.

  •  Only one student will be allowed to sit at a desk.

  • Students will be forbidden to share food with each other.


It may be recalled that schools in Haryana were reopened for students of classes IV and V from September 1, while schools for students of other classes had already opened in July.
