The Phase I examination will be conducted in online mode for filling up the earlier notified 4,103 vacant posts at various Depots and Offices of the FCI. The Food Corporation of India (FCI) is scheduled to conduct the Phase I exam for four days from Friday, 31st May, 2019 to Monday, 3rd June, 2019 at exam centres set up in 33 States and Union Territories across the country. The exam will be conducted in four different shifts per day and the duration of the exam will be 1 hour.
Phase I examination will be common for all the posts viz Junior Engineer (Je) (Civil Engineering / Electrical Mechanical Engineering), Assistant Grade II (AG II) (Hindi), Steno Grade-II, Typist (Hindi) and Assistant Grade-III (General /Accounts / Technical / Depot).
Candidates who qualify in the Phase-I exam will only be eligible to appear for Phase II exam. As per the official notification, FCI will release the admit card for Phase-I exam 15 days prior to the date of exam. The admit card will bear important details like exam date, venue and shift timing allotted to individual candidates.
FCI Phase I Examination 2019 - Exam Pattern:
The Phase I examination will be an Objective type test (Multiple Choice Questions) comprising of three sections viz. English Language, Reasoning Ability and Numerical Aptitude. The time allocated to attempt each section is 20 minutes. The English Language section will carry 30 marks, while Reasoning Ability and Numerical Aptitude will be of 35 marks each.
The exam will consist of total 100 questions and each question will carry 1 mark. Negative marking of (-1/4) is applicable for each wrong answer. The marks obtained in Phase-I examination will not be considered in preparation of final merit list.
