DU UG Admission 2021: Delhi University has increased seats from this session under ward quota. Students going to DU in academic session 2021-22 will benefit from this. In UG courses, 16 out of 400 students of a course will get the benefit under ward quota. Delhi University has increased the number of seats to 16 in the ward quota in UG courses. Out of these increased seats, 8 seats are for children of teaching staff, and the remaining 8 seats are reserved for children of non-teaching staff.
In these eight seats, 4 seats are for merit admission while the remaining four seats are earmarked for admission on the basis of the entrance exam.

According to DU academic council rules, 16 seats in 400 or above seats in any UG course in the college are reserved under ward quota. 12 seats are reserved from 201 to 399 seats, 8 seats are reserved when there are 101 to 200 seats, while 4 seats are reserved for 51 to 100 seats, and 2 seats are reserved when there are 50 seats for the ward quota.

2 seats in PG courses are reserved for teaching and non-teaching staff:
According to the academic council, 2 seats are reserved under the ward quota from 50 seats in PG courses. 1 seat is filled on merit while the other seat is admitted on the basis of the entrance test. Significantly, it has not taken into consideration the teaching and non-teaching staff separately, but a total of 2 seats have been allotted.
