Delhi Schools Reopen: Schools from nursery to class 8 will also be opened in Delhi from Monday. For the first time in the COVID pandemic period, children of primary classes will also start coming to school in Delhi.


In such a situation, preparations are being made by the school administration in view of the safety of the children. There are several conditions for opening schools. In addition, special attention has been given to the safety of children. The government has asked the school administration to open schools with great care in view of Coronavirus.


Sanitisation


Special precautions are to be taken in schools for sanitisation. The work of sanitisation of primary wing classes is being done at Vidya Bal Bhawan Senior Secondary School, Mayur Vihar, Delhi. Separate classrooms have been provided for children to sit according to the roll number. The alternate seating arrangement will also be followed.


Markings for Social Distancing


Social distancing is mandatory for schools in Delhi. Markings are being placed to ensure social distancing and colourful notices have been put up to make children aware of the same. Dr. Satvir Sharma, Principal of Vidya Bal Bhawan Senior Secondary School, Mayur Vihar, informed that the school held a workshop for children and teachers for three days on the safety guidelines, they used play-way methods in that workshop. As Children understand by Audiovisuals more than books, charts have been put up at the main gate and the entire building. Children will be explained through sports and music that they have to walk only on markings with social distancing. The children will get habituated when they practice it every day.
