The Delhi High Court will hear the petition to reschedule the May Chartered Accountants (CA) examinations on April 8, 2024. In light of the upcoming 18th Lok Sabha general elections, a significant number of CA candidates have been pleading with the Institute of Chartered Accountants (ICAI) to postpone the 2024 CA Intermediate and Final exams to June. The ICAI postponed the CA Intermediate and Final exams to May 2–16. Following the Election Commission's announcement of the general election dates for 2024, the updated schedule was made public.

On May 11, 15, and May 17, 2024, the ICAI Group-II Intermediate Course Examination will take place. On May 2, 4, and 8, 2024, the ICAI Group-I Final Examination will take place. The dates of the Group II Final Exam are May 10, 14, and May 16, 2024.

"Considering continuous requests & hardships of CA students, we have filed a petition in Delhi HC seeking rescheduling of CA Exams from May to June 2024. HC is likely to hear it on Monday. CA students, please focus on your studies. The matter is before the Court now. Let the Court decide," advocate Alakh Alok Srivastava posted on X.

“Some CAs are advising #castudents focus on studies. But why they didn't approve preparation leave for these students when they knew that exams are going to be conducted in May. Now suddenly so much concerned about their studies,” advocate Anubha Shrivastava Sahai said on a post on X.
