Deakin's initiatives align with the vision set forth by India’s National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, which emphasizes internationalization in higher education and research.

- A commitment of AUD 1 million for strategic projects in Higher Education, Sports, and Disaster Management in India.
- Collaborations with the National Institute of Disaster Management and other organizations to strengthen India’s disaster resilience framework.
- Partnerships with Gujarat and other key entities in sports development, education, and skilling initiatives, aiming to reach 15 million learners through various programs.
Additionally, Deakin’s expansion plans for its GIFT City campus include growing its cohort to 500 students and developing executive programs in collaboration with local institutions.
These celebratory events culminated in a high-profile function at the Australian High Commission, with notable speakers and guests from academia, industry, and government, showcasing the enduring bond between the two nations and a shared commitment to future growth and innovation.
Deakin has also contributed AUD 14 million in research scholarships and fellowships, solidifying its position as a leader in fostering academic excellence in India.
