New Delhi: The University Grants Commission (UGC) has decided to introduce the common university entrance test (CUET) for post graduate courses from this year which will be held in the last week of July, informed chairman Mamidala Jagadesh Kumar on Thursday.
Sharing the update that CUET PG 2022 will be held in the last week of July on social micro blogging site Twitter, Kumar wrote, “The application process for CUET PG 2022 will commence on Thursday, May 19 at cuet.nta.nic.in.”

The CUET PG 2022 application process will be closed on June 18, 2022.
The exam will be conducted in Computer based test (CBT) mode. National Testing Agency (NTA) will conduct the postgraduate entrance test for 42 Central and participating Universities for the academic session 2022-2023.
CUET will provide a single window opportunity to students to seek admission in participating Universities across the country," the UGC chairman noted.
A single examination will help candidates, especially those from rural and other remote areas to be part of the admission process and help establish better connect with the Universities.
More than 10.46 lakh candidates have applied for CUET-UG so far. The CUET UG application process will close on May 22, afte the application deadline was extended from its earlier schedule of May 6.
The National Testing Agency will conduct the CUET exam 2022 in 13 languages including English, Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu. The exam will be held in 547 cities across the country along with 13 cities outside India.
