Owing to the circumstances brewed up due to Coronavirus pandemic, the National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced to reopen the application window for Council of Scientific & Industrial Research (CSIR)- UGC NET 2020. ALSO READ | Jamia Millia Islamia Admissions 2020: Application Deadline Extended To September 14


Candidates who have not applied for the exam or could not complete their registration earlier, have got the second chance to do it between August 22 - September 10.

In an official notice released on Satursday, the agency stated that "In view of the representation received from many students who have not filled application form due to the changed circumstances arising out of COVID-19 and request received from the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), NTA has decided to reopen the portal again for few weeks. This is also applicable to other students who have not been able to complete the application or submit the application form for CSIR- UGC NET June 2020 due to one reason or another.

As per the latest updates, the facility of submission/ completion of online application form will be available on the website scirnet.nta.nic.in from 22 August 2020 to 10 September 2020.

The candidates who wish to apply for the CSIR- UGC NET 2020 must mark that the submission/ Completion of online application form shall be accepted upto 5pm of 10 September 2020, and submission of fee upto 11:50pm of 10 September 2020. The requisite fee can be paid through Credit Card, Debit Card, Net Banking, UPI or Paytm.

Accordingly, applicants can make corrections in the particulars and centre cities in the online application forms for a week i.e. 11 September 2020 to 17 September 2020 upto 5pm, and payment of fees upto 11:50pm.
