Wi Fi in Uttarakhand Colleges: At present, there are no offline classes in Uttarakhand colleges, but students will be relieved to know that from August, all the colleges will be connected through Wi-Fi. The UGC guidelines on offline studies in colleges are awaited to decide the future course of offline studies.

Colleges will be connected to Wi-Fi by August 14:

The process of getting the Wi-Fi service for all colleges in Uttarakhand is about to be completed. On August 14, all the colleges of the state will be connected to Wi-Fi. About 4 lakh students of the state will get the benefit of Wi-Fi service. This is an important step taken by the Higher Education Department in the direction of online education. However, the lack of connectivity in mountainous areas may create hurdles.

Four lakh students will get Wi-Fi facility:

Higher Education Minister Dhan Singh Rawat has claimed that all the state colleges will get free Wi-Fi from August 14. Ministers and MPs will initiate the required process for free Wi-Fi service in their respective areas to promote online education. Minister of Higher Education Dhan Singh Rawat said that Uttarakhand will be the first state to provide a Wi-Fi facility to 4 lakh college students. This will help promote online education during the pandemic.

Decision to reopen colleges will be taken soon:

Shri Dev Suman University's VC, PP Dhyani said that online classes are being conducted in Shri Dev Suman colleges, but the government will soon take a decision regarding the reopening of the colleges. Dhyani said that the admission process will soon begin for the students at UTU University. At first, entrance exams for JEE will be conducted. Thereafter, the admission process will begin for other streams.

Due to Corona, offline classes are not being conducted in the colleges of Uttarakhand. Online classes are being held but are superficial and inadequate. The college admission procedure has not begun yet. Whereas in private colleges, the online admission procedure has already begun. This clearly indicates that the number of admissions in government colleges may decrease during the coming session.
