All schools in Ghaziabad district will remain closed on January 18 for classes 1 to 8, in the wake of severe cold wave and dense fog sweeping across Delhi-NCR. The announcement comes from the Ghaziabad district officer in a bid to safeguard young school going children from being exposed to the harsh cold weather. Several parts of North India including Delhi-NCR, Punjab, Himachal, Chandigarh, and others have been battling with severe cold in the past few weeks.
In a similar move earlier last week, the Ghaziabad district administration revised the operational timings for all schools in the district. As per the revised timings, classes 1 to 8 in all schools in Ghaziabad were asked to function from 10:00 am to 03:00 pm.
