The Consortium of National Law Universities (NLUs) has released the CLAT (Common Law Admission Test) 2023 counselling first allotment list. Candidates who registered for the CLAT Counselling 2023 can download the allotment list online on consortiumofnlus.ac.in. 


The CLAT 2023 Counselling Process is being conducted for admissions into Undergraduate and Postgraduate courses of various NLUs (National Law Universities) for the academic year 2023-24. 


Shortlisted candidates who have been allotted seats in the first allotment list will be required to accept the result by freezing the seat allocation by January 22, 2023. Importantly, all shortlisted candidates in the allotment list can either Freeze, Float or Exit their candidature in a CLAT Counselling Round 2023.

Freeze Option - Candidates can use the ‘Freeze’ option if they are happy with their seat allotment. Freezing the seat implies that a candidate does not wish to participate in the further CLAT 2023 Counselling rounds. 


Float Option - Candidates can use the ‘Float’ option if they are not alloted their first preference NLU, and wish to Float their candidature in higher NLUs in further CLAT 2023 Counselling rounds. 


Exit Option - Candidates may use the “Exit” option if they want to withdraw their candidature and no longer want to participate in the CLAT 2023 Counselling rounds.


CLAT 2023 First Allotment List: How To Check Merit List?



  • Visit the official CLAT 2023 website - consortiumofnlus.ac.in

  • Login to the portal using your mobile number and password

  • The CLAT 2023 First Allotment List will now be displayed on your screen

  • Download and save the allotment list for future reference
