As per experts and teachers, the paper was easier than last year’s CBSE Class 12th Mathematics paper. Several questions were repeated from the previous year papers and NCERT textbook and presented in different figures. The examiners are of the view that today’s paper was not a tough nut to crack for students who had practiced past papers and were through with the Class 12th NCERT textbook.
Students did not complain of the paper being lengthy and were mostly able to complete it in the stipulated time. But some questions were tricky for average students. Overall, a bright student can be expected to secure 70+ marks in today’s CBSE Class 12th Mathematics exam, however, for average students, the marks will hover between 55-65.
CBSE Class 12th Mathematics Paper Pattern:
Today’s paper comprised of total 29 questions that carried internal choices. The CBSE Class 12th Maths paper 2019 carried total 100 marks and was divided into four sections viz:
Section A – 4 Questions carrying 1 mark each – Total 4 Marks
Section B – 8 Questions carrying 2 marks each – Total 16 Marks
Section C – 11 Questions carrying 4 marks each – Total 44 Marks
Section D – 6 Questions carrying 6 marks each – Total 36 Marks
Total Questions 29 – Total Marks 100
