Tensions escalated at Delhi's Jamia Millia Islamia on Monday as several videos surfaced online showing students chanting slogans in support of 'Babri Masjid' on the university campus. This incident coincided with the pran pratishtha or consecration ceremony of Ram Lalla in the Ram Janmabhoomi Temple in Ayodhya. In response to the situation, Delhi Police deployed its personnel outside the campus to enhance vigilance and maintain order.
A page by the name of Fraternity Movement JMI posted a video on X with caption: ''Boycott for Babri. Resistance is Remembrance. Fraternity Movement Jamia Millia Islamia organized a university-wide strike, urging students to boycott classes and reading rooms in solidarity with Babri Masjid.''

Notably, Ayodhya was immersed in religious fervor as the long-awaited Pran Pratishtha ceremony of Ram Lalla unfolded on Monday in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat, and other dignitaries. The consecration event saw army helicopters showering flower petals on the temple premises. The 51-inch-tall idol, crafted by sculptor Arun Yogiraj from Mysuru, depicts a graceful image of a five-year-old Lord Ram standing on a lotus, intricately carved from a single block of stone.
