As Covid Cases Decrease In India, Know Which States Have Announced To Reopen Schools

School Reopening Update: After a decline in corona cases, many states have started preparations to reopen the school. From today, schools have opened in many states with corona protocol.

Amidst the decline in fresh Covid-19 cases in the country, many states are easing lockdown restrictions. At the same time, schools and colleges have also started reopening. While schools have opened in many states, many are planning to reopen schools soon. Let us know which states have opened or announced to open schools.

1) Gujarat

- Schools have reopened in Gujarat for class 12 students from 15th July 2021. - Colleges and technical institutes have been opened. - In fact, a significant decline has been registered in the new cases of Covid-19 in Gujarat. - Therefore, in addition to class 12, classes in colleges and technical institutions with 50 percent capacity have been started in Gujarat from today.

2) Uttar Pradesh

- Schools have opened in Uttar Pradesh since July 1, but students have not been allowed to attend schools. - Schools have reopened for academic work and only teachers and non-teaching staff are allowed in the school. - Online classes for students are being held.

3) Bihar

- Schools have reopened in Bihar from 6 July 2021. - However, schools are to be opened here in a phased manner. - The government has given strict instructions to all schools and colleges to follow the corona guidelines. - Instructions have been issued to make special arrangements for thermal screening at the gate of the institutes. - Let us inform you that Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar recently announced the reopening of schools and colleges on Twitter.  - He said, “Universities, all colleges, technical educational institutions, government training institutes, schools up to class 11 and 12 will reopen with 50% attendance." - Special arrangements will be made for immunization of adult students and girl students, teachers, and staff of educational institutions.

3) Haryana

- The Haryana government had announced on July 9 that schools would reopen following social distancing from July 16 for classes 9 to 12. - School will reopen for other classes only if the situation normalizes. - Whereas schools for classes 6 to 8 will reopen from July 23. - Online classes will continue and students will be allowed to attend online classes. Students will be allowed to come to school only after obtaining written permission from their parents. - Schools from classes 1 to 5 will be closed and the decision to reopen them will be taken later.

4) Chandigarh

- Schools from class 9 to 12 will reopen in Chandigarh from July 19. - However, the permission of the parents will be necessary to come to the school. - Online classes will also continue.

5) Puducherry

 - The government of the Union Territory of Puducherry has announced to reopen all the schools in the state from class 9 to 12. - State Chief Minister N Rangaswamy announced that all the schools in the state from class 9 to 12 will reopen from July 16. The Chief Minister said that from July 16, all the colleges in the state will also reopen.

6) Maharashtra

- Schools will reopen from July 15, 2021, for classes, 8 to 12 in Maharashtra. - However, the government has permitted the reopening of schools in the areas without a single case of corona for the last month.

7) Andhra Pradesh

- The Andhra Pradesh government has decided to reopen schools in the state from August 16. - Only online classes are conducted in Andhra.

7) Uttarakhand

- According to a Times of India report, the Uttarakhand government is planning to reopen colleges and universities in areas where Covid-19 cases are relatively low. - As reported by TOI, Uttarakhand Education Minister Dhan Singh Rawat has said, “We are looking forward to reopening colleges and universities in the district where Covid-19 cases are less.” -The Uttarakhand government had opened colleges and educational institutions this year in February. However, the offline classes were later suspended due to the second wave of Covid-19.

8) Delhi

- At present, the Delhi government has allowed colleges and universities to reopen for administrative work with a maximum capacity of 50 percent. - Only college staff is allowed inside the campuses. No student will be allowed inside the campus. Delhi's colleges and universities will reopen later with all Covid-19 safety protocols. - Offline classes remain suspended for now, and teachers will continue to take classes online.
