Kejriwal Summoned By ED For Questioning On Monday:

Earlier this week, the ED issued the eighth summons to Kejriwal seeking his presence for questioning on March 4, despite the AAP convenor being adamant in not joining the investigators till a court seized of the matter tells him to do so in the excise case.

The fresh notice from the agency comes immediately after Kejriwal did not appear on Monday holding on to the pretext that the summons are illegal and are meant to arrest him before the Lok Sabha elections.

The AAP chief was summoned on November 2 and December 21, 2023, and again on January 3, January 18, February 2, and 17 of this year, but he refused to appear, claiming that the ED summons were illegal.

The ED claimed in court that Kejriwal intentionally disobeyed each summons issued as part of an investigation into money laundering linked to irregularities in the now-scrapped Delhi excise policy case.
