On the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the National Cadet Corps (NCC), a rally was organised. Prime Minister Narendra Modi participated in the rally and inspected the Guard of Honour in Delhi's Cariappa Ground. As many as 196 officers and cadets from 19 foreign countries took part in the rally.
News agency ANI posted a two-minute video of PM Modi's inspection, on Twitter.
In the two minute video, we saw PM Modi standing in a car and looking at various contingents, during the inspection. The contingents saluted him while soft music was playing in the background.
Post the inspection, he released a special day cover and a commemorative specially minted coin of Rs 75 denomination, commemorating 75 successful years of NCC.
During PM Modi's last inspection of 'Guard of Honour' at Cariappa Ground, while addressing the rally, he said that he was extremely proud of being an active member of NCC once. He said, "I am proud that I was also an active member of NCC. Our govt is taking several steps to strengthen the NCC. A large number of girl cadets participated in the rally, this is the change India is witnessing today."

The ceremony saw the Prime Minister observe the Guard of Honour, watch the NCC contingents do a March Past, and then witness the NCC cadets demonstrate their military manoeuvres, slithering, microlight flying, parasailing, and cultural performances.
