Incessant rainfall in the national capital on Saturday led to waterlogging in several parts of the city. Vehicular movement has been disrupted significantly due to the waterlogged areas. Police barricading has been put up at underpasses as they're flooded with rainwater. Delhi Traffic Police said, "There was massive water-logging on July 8 following heavy rain since morning. Water logging was witnessed at 56 locations. Trees fell at 5 locations. Potholes at 5 locations till 3 pm. Calls of traffic congestion, failure of traffic signals and potholes on the roads were received in the Traffic Control Room."


News agency ANI shared a number of posts on Twitter showcasing the vehicles that were stuck on the flooded roads.






One of the visuals shared from the Akbar Road area showcased vehicles passing through the flooded street. 






Another visual was shared from the Rabindra Nagar area. 






Central Delhi area also witnessed flooded streets on Saturday.






Police barricading was observed at Minto Bridge Underpass.






Vinod Nagar area witnessed heavy flooding on the streets, vehicles struggled to make their way ahead. A person riding a two-wheeler was seen on the footpath as the tyre would get completely submerged in the floodwater. 






India Meteorological Department (IMD) said that the rainfall recorded today at 2:30 pm at Safderjung Airport stood at 98.7mm, 92mm at Lodhi Road and 111.4 mm at the Ridge.
