Congress on Saturday slammed the jailed Delhi Minister Satyendar Jain over CCTV videos that showed him receiving massage inside his jail cell in the Delhi government-run Tihar Jail and said it is shameful that he was compared to Bhagat Singh. " Kejriwal's minister is getting VIP treatment in jail. Massage, Bisleri water, comfortable bed. Lots of fun...Recently, this minister was being compared to Bhagat Singh. It is shameless," Congress tweeted.
The Bharatiya Janata Party on Saturday lashed out at Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal over CCTV videos that showed jailed minister Satyendar Jain receiving massage inside his jail cell in the Delhi government-run Tihar Jail.
"The 'kattar beimaan' (absolute dishonest) thug is taking a massage in jail by violating laws. He's been jailed for 5 months now but has still not been sacked as a minister. The video shows VVIP culture. We're asking you questions after seeing the video, Arvind Kejriwal where are you hiding?" BJP leader Gaurav Bhatia remarked, as quoted by news agency ANI.
Earlier, a CCTV video of imprisoned Delhi minister Satyendar Jain apparently getting a massage inside a Tihar jail cell went viral on the internet. Last month, the Enforcement Directorate had stated footage of Satyendar Jain, alleging that he was living a luxurious life at the jail, to a Delhi court.
The video dated September 13 was recorded by a CCTV camera a little past 1 pm. The stamp on the footage reads 'W-5 Cell-1 A Block'. A man is seen giving him a foot massage with oil while Jain went through some papers.
Aam Aadmi Party's Manish Sisodia on Saturday reacted to the allegations of violating laws levied by the Bharatiya Janata Party on jailed Delhi minister Satyendar Jain and said that he had two operations for his spine injury and the doctor has prescribed him regular physiotherapy.
"Satyendar Jain has had two operations for his spine injury. The doctor has prescribed him regular physiotherapy. After Covid, there is a patch in his lungs which is not cured yet," Sisodia said in a tweet. He added that making fun of a person's illness and the treatment being given to him is disgusting.
