A massive fire broke out in a plastic godown at PVC Market in Delhi's Tikri Kalan area in the early hours of Saturday, as reported by the news agency ANI. After receiving information, 26 fire tenders reached the spot to douse the inferno. No casualties have been reported so far.






Visuals from the spot showed massive flames billowing out from a huge area. According to Deputy Chief Fire Officer, SK Dua, the fire was a medium category fire.The fire was moving quickly because of the wind, he said. However, the fire has been brought under control. 












“As soon as the information was received, 26 fire tenders reached the spot. The fire was spreading quickly due to the wind. This fire has been declared of medium category. There is no information about loss of life or property so far. Situation under control”, Dua told ANI. However, there is no mention of how the fire started in the area.


This comes just a week after the Wazirpur factory fire. Fire department officials stated that a call was received from A-91 Wazirpur industrial area near JD Dharam Kanta. According to an official, 26 fire tenders reached the spot to douse the fire.


Earlier in March, a fire broke out in a matteress factory in the Siraspur Industrial area. As many as 20 fire tenders were at the spot at the time of filing this report. According to Delhi Fire service officials, 2-3 blasts were reported in the building after the fire, due to which 80 per cent of the building collapsed.
