Delhi Police on Wednesday detained three persons for allegedly killing a man in the Nangloi area of the national capital, reported news agency ANI. The victim, identified as Sahil Malik, 25, was allegedly thrashed by a group of men on Tuesday evening following an argument


The main accused Sunny has been arrested by the Delhi Police, the police said.



The deceased's uncle, Khaleel Malik while talking to ANI said that his nephew Vishal Malik had an argument with an RTV bus driver while returning from a gym.


Malik said, "My nephew Vishal Malik was returning from a gym when he had an argument with an RTV bus driver over some w. They were 8-10 people & thrashed him."


He further alleged that the police also did not help Vishal when he approached them to get his bike from the spot.

"The police denied to accompany Vishal to get his bike from the spot and asked him to go himself. It was at this time, Vishal called his younger brother Sahil and asked him to pick up the bike from the spot and come to the police station. When Sahil reached the spot with his friend Danish the men attacked him with a knife," Khaleel Malik alleged adding that the doctors had declared Sahil dead.


Meanwhile, one of Sahil's friends, who is an eyewitness in the case, Danish said, "we both had gone to pick up Vishal's bike when several men came out suddenly and stabbed Sahil to death as we both were taking pictures of the bike."


In December last year, Union Road Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari informed in a Lok Sabha session that the total number of road rage and rash driving cases had jumped to 1.83 lahks in 2020 from 1.55 lakh in 2019. In 2021 the number of cases increased to 2.15 lakh, he said.
