A labourer, identified as Sujeet Kumar, was electrocuted to death at an under-construction building on the premises of Lok Nayak Jai Prakash Hospital (LNJP) in Delhi on Sunday, said officials. They confirmed that the deceased was a resident of Samastipur in Bihar. Kumar was brought to the emergency ward of the Delhi government-run LNJP at around 9 AM. However, he was declared brought dead by the doctors, as reported by news agency PTI. Meanwhile, a senior police officer said forensic experts and a crime team of Delhi police have already inspected the place of the incident.

The officer further said all necessary action was being initiated. Kumar was working as a labourer at the construction site within the hospital premises when he got electrocuted. During the incident, another labourer saw him and took him to the emergency room, said the senior police officer.

Earlier, in a separate incident that took place on June 25, a woman died due to electrocution on New Delhi railway station premises, reported news agency ANI citing Delhi police. The body of the woman was later sent to Lady Hardinge Hospital for postmortem and a probe was launched. Police said that an FSL team was also on the spot.

The deceased woman was identified as Sakshi Ahuja, a resident of Preet Vihar, Delhi who got electrocuted after grabbing an electric pole outside the New Delhi Railway Station. She came here to catch the Bhopal Shatabdi train, ANI reported Delhi police as stating.
