External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar on Saturday (June 17) praised the Narendra Modi government for its commitment to delivering services and projects on time at an event as part of the BJP's outreach campaign. Jaishankar emphasised the government's track record of delivering on promises, saying that while many politicians forget their promises after elections, the Modi administration has consistently delivered on its commitments.

The remarks were made during Jaishankar's visit to the site of an Eco Park being developed at NTPC's Thermal Power Plant area in Badarpur, where he emphasised the government's emphasis on tangible results for the people.

The Eco Park project is currently underway, and South Delhi MP and BJP leader Ramesh Bidhuri have stated that the park will open in December. Jainshankar praised the NTPC for the project, as well as the party's MP and other local leaders for working on such an environmentally friendly project, PTI reported.

Jaishankar said: "This Eco Park will become a new lung of Delhi. I congratulate all who are part of this project, and it will not only help in mitigating pollution, but enhance the ease of living of people and ease of doing business too by promoting economic activities around it. Modi 'sarkar' doesn't just offer promises. It completes what work it starts in a given timeframe, and delivers it, shows it to people," he was quoted as saying by PTI.

Jaishankar Highlights 'Delivery' As Strong Point Of Modi Government

Jaishankar stressed that the Modi government's emphasis on delivering results rather than making empty promises. He described the government's commitment to "vikas" (development) as a pilgrimage of commitments during the "Vikas Teerth Yatra" organised by the BJP. The yatra began at Badarpur's Eco Park, with Jaishankar and several senior BJP leaders in attendance.

The minister stated that the residents would be able to see firsthand how the government follows through on its promises. While he avoided naming specific individuals, he highlighted the importance of action over rhetoric. As External Affairs Minister, Jaishankar emphasised his travels to cities and capitals around the world, expressing his desire to bring the best practises observed elsewhere to India.

"Which government delivers and which government only promises," the minister said, without taking names. "I can tell you that as an External Affairs Minister, I visit countries all over the world, see many cities and capitals," he said, according to PTI.

He further said that PM Modi shares this vision, with the goal of adopting successful processes from other countries, whether in river cleaning, infrastructure development, or the adoption of new technologies. The Modi administration's commitment to implementing global best practises is consistent with its emphasis on delivering tangible results for the country.
