Security arrangements have been ramped-up and security forces have been deployed near the premises of Jama Masjid in Delhi on the occasion of Eid al-Adha (Bakrid) on Thursday. Deepender Pathak, Special CP, Delhi Police, said that top security arrangements have been made and that senior officials are on the field across the national capital to maintain peace and harmony during the celebrations.


"Top most security and law & order arrangements have been made on the occasion of #EidAlAdha ...adequate deployment of security forces have been done, seniors officials are on the field...", said Delhi Police Special CP Deepender Pathak.






He added, "We make a strategic, robust and effective deployment. Along with it, we maintain regular communication with the community to ensure a cordial and safe environment."






Talking to ANI, DCP Central, Sanjay Kumar Sain, said, "Security of the people is our top priority and with the help of MCD, we are ensuring that the area is clean and hygienic. Around 1,000 district police personnel are present here. Outside force is also supporting us."






Meanwhile, Prime Minister Narendra Modi extended wishes on the occasion of Eid-Al-Adha to the top leadership of Kuwait. The Indian Embassy in Kuwait stated in a tweet, "Hon’ble PM of India Shri Narendra Modi extended warm greetings to the leadership HH the Amir, HH the Crown Prince, HH the Prime Minister & people of State of Kuwait on the auspicious occasion of Eid-Al-Adha."






Former Union Minister and BJP leader Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi offered namaz at Panja Sharif Dargah, Kashmere Gate.






Devotees across the country gathered at different mosques on the occasion of Eid-Al-Adha. People gathered at Dargah in Mumbai, outside Fatehpuri Masjid and Jaa Masjid in Delhi to offer namaz.
