Drunk Delhi Woman Stabs Roommate After Returning From Party, Calls Cops, Later Admits To Murder

A body of a 22-year-old girl was found in a pool of blood on the third floor of a house in Aruna Nagar, Majnu Ka Tila, Civil Lines Delhi.

After the gruesome murder of a teenage girl in Delhi sent shockwaves across the nation, another case has come to the fore where body of a 22-year-old girl was found in a pool of blood on the third floor of a house in Aruna Nagar, Majnu Ka Tila, Civil Lines Delhi. The girl was identified as Rani. Another woman named Sapna informed the police about the dead body of a 35-year-old woman named Rani.

After receiving the complaint, police team rushed to the spot and met Sapna at the spot. The police also found the dead body of Rani, lying in pool of blood. FSL team and crime team reached the spot. The police registered a case u/s 302 of the IPC.

According to a statement issued by the Delhi Police, Sapna broke down during the sustained interrogation and has admitted to have committed the crime. According to the police statement, Rani ( 35 years) and Sapna ( 36years) were staying at a rented place in Aruna Nagar, Majnu Ka Tila. Rani used to worked at a beauty parlor shop in Gurgaon and Sapna works as waiters/decorator in parties. Sapna is divorced and has one daughter.

Last night, Sapna, Rani, Neha ( Manisha Chhetri), Tenzin and 4-5 others people had a party till around 1 AM at Neha's place in Aruna Nagar ( Majnu Ka Tilla), in which Sapna and Rani had an altercation while drinking. After that Sapna and Rani came back to their rented room and continued drinking, the Delhi police said.

The statement further informed, at around 4:30 AM, they had a heated exchange of words which led to a scuffle between the two. Following the scuffle, Sapna stabbed Rani with a kitchen knife in the chest after Rani allegedly abused Sapna's father, who died recently. Rani succumbed to injuries immediately. Further investigation in the case is underway.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

This comes days after a 16-year-old minor girl was brutally stabbed to death by her boyfriend in Delhi's Shahbad Dairy area. The 20-year-old accused, identified as Sahil, stabbed her at least 20 times before hitting her on her head with a stone. Sahil was arrested on Monday. The police arrested him from Uttar Pradesh's Bulandshahr city.
