A road in Delhi's RK Puram caved in on February 22, trapping a dog and two bikes inside the resulting crater. Thus yet, no fatalities have been reported, according to ANI.


A video of the moment the section of the road collapsed suddenly while the dog was resting near the bikes has surfaced on the internet.


CCTV footage authenticated by Delhi Police captured the moment a piece of the road caved in on the afternoon of February 22 at around 12.40 pm, ANI uploaded the footage on Twitter.






A dog can be seen resting on the road in the brief video. He sits alongside two motorcycles parked on the road. A few seconds later, though, a section of the road collapses, sending the dog and one of the motorcycles into the water.


Onlookers who hurried to the scene had to flee for safety as another section of the road caved in, sending the second motorcycle into the abyss.


According to reports, the water department completed repairs at the site a few days ago. However, residents said that they did not adequately rebuild the road, resulting in the catastrophe.


Fortunately, no one was injured in the incident. Even the dog, which had fallen into the sinkhole with the bikes, was rescued safely shortly after the incident, as per the reports.


A sewage suction truck partially sank on one of the roads dug to carry out sewerage work in Goa's Tonca, calling the Smart City project's smartness into question once more. On February 11, the road in Ward 8 caved in while a big vehicle was passing through.


According to eyewitnesses, the truck driver was evading potholes when he lost control and drove into the wooden barricades, causing an accident. Fortunately, no one was injured.


Another road leading from Mahipalpur to Indira Gandhi International Airport Terminal-3 in Delhi caved in January, causing traffic disruptions. Following the incident, vehicle travel in the area was severely hampered.
