Delhi-NCR witnesses clear blue skies as cold weather conditions continued in the national capital. According to IMD, the minimum temperatures over many parts of Delhi will be in the range of 8-12 degrees Celsius, which is normal to below normal over the region. Parts of Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, and Uttar Pradesh will also experience similar temperatures.
Minimum temperatures over most parts of Punjab, Haryana- Chandigarh, north Rajasthan, and plains of Uttarakhand are in the range of 4-8 degrees Celsius. The lowest minimum temperature was reported at Sikar in East Rajasthan at 3.5 degrees Celsius, reported IMD.
There will very likely be no significant change in minimum temperatures over parts of East India in the next three days which will be followed by a rise in 2-3 degrees Celsius. Similarly, north India will not witness any significant change in minimum temperatures during the next 5 days, as per IMD's forecast on February 8.
Isolated pockets of Uttarakhand, Punjab, and Himachal Pradesh experienced ground frost conditions and cold wave conditions, respectively, on Friday, as per IMD's forecast.
Under the influence of a cyclonic circulation over central parts of India, Madhya Pradesh, Chhatisgarh, and Vidarbha will likely receive isolated to scattered light rainfall during February 10-14. Marathwada during February 9-11, Uttar Pradesh, Jharkhand during February 12-14, Madhya Maharashtra on February 10 and 11, and Gangetic West Bengal on February 13 and 14, will also very likely receive isolated to scattered rainfall due to the cyclonic circulation.
Isolated to scattered light or moderate rainfall will likely occur over east and northeast India for the next two days. Dry weather will likely prevail over rest parts of the country.
