Delhi's viral sensation Chandrika Gera Dixit, better known as 'Vada Pav Girl', was spotted with a Ford Mustang, a high-end luxury car, in a new social media post. In the post, she can be heard saying: “Something big is coming soon”.
Chandrika took to her Instagram and shared a video of people surrounding a Ford Mustang. As the video proceeds, a man could be heard saying in Hindi, “There’s a Mustang parked in front of me and people have gathered around it. So, let’s find out why so many people are here?” As he opens the boot of the luxury car, saying, “Let’s see what’s going to come out of the Mustang,” Chandrika is seen lying inside it with a plate of vada pav.
The video ends with her getting all set to drive the car. Chandrika has captioned this post: "Vada Pav Girl starts selling vada pav in a Mustang car." It is not known yet whether the car belongs to her or not. The cost of the American car starts at around Rs 75 lakh in India.
Who Is Viral Vada Pav Girl?
Chandrika Gera Dixit, who sells vada pav on Delhi streets on a cart, says she is from Indore. She went viral after claiming to provide the authentic taste of Mumbai's street vada pav. Several YouTubers have filmed long queues of patrons waiting to taste the vada pav. However, the reaction of customers has been mixed.
Chandrika recently went viral after she was accused of encroaching public space. She has also been accused of resorting to unfair practices to remove her competitor's carts from the area where she conducts business, a charge she has denied. She claims she does not have enough money to afford a shop. However, she was trolled after she was spotted buying an iPhone 15 Pro, an Apple Watch, and AirPods.
Vada Pav Girl’s Cart Seized
Chandrika recently grabbed headlines following a dispute with the locals over encroachment and traffic obstructions that happened due to a bhandara or community feast she organised near her stall. She was even briefly detained by the police.
The police said her stall was being run without Municipal Corporation Of Delhi’s permission and it also attracted a large number of customers, leading to severe traffic problems in the area. Moreover, when the police team reached the spot, she misbehaved with the officers. As a result, her vada pav cart was seized by the police.
