The Delhi Police have registered a case following an incident where individuals allegedly threatened AIMIM President and Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi outside his residence at Ashoka 34. The incident, which occurred around 9:00 pm yesterday, involved the broadcast of a video on social media showing six people issuing threats against Owaisi. An FIR has been lodged under sections 143, 506, 153A, and 147 of the Indian Penal Code, news agency ANI reported.
According to officials cited by news agency PTI, a group of five men arrived at Owaisi's residence on Ashoka Road in Central Delhi on Thursday evening. They proceeded to paste three posters at the entry gate and walls of the house, demanding Owaisi's suspension from the Lok Sabha. The posters bore slogans such as 'Bharat Mata Ki Jai', 'I stand with Israel', and 'Owaisi should be suspended'.
In a video that surfaced online, one of the perpetrators called for unity among the youth against Owaisi, citing his controversial statements. The Delhi Police intervened promptly, removing the posters after their arrival, although the perpetrators had already fled the scene.

Owaisi, who had previously faced criticism for his remarks during his oath-taking in the Lok Sabha, expressed dismay over the incident. He stated, "Some 'unknown miscreants' vandalised my house with black ink today. I have now lost count of the number of times my Delhi residence has been targeted." Addressing the Delhi Police and tagging Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla on Twitter, Owaisi questioned the security measures in place for MPs, emphasizing, "Will MPs' safety be guaranteed or not?"
He further condemned the act, urging the perpetrators to confront him directly instead of resorting to such cowardly acts. "To the two-bit goons who keep targeting my house: this does not scare me. Stop this Savarkar-type cowardly behaviour and be men enough to face me," Owaisi added.
