The Delhi Police has issued a traffic advisory in anticipation of the opposition I.N.D.I.A. bloc's 'Loktantra Bachao Rally' scheduled for Sunday, stating that vehicular movement in the city will be regulated for six hours on that day. Top leaders from the I.N.D.I.A. bloc, including Rahul Gandhi, Mallikarjun Kharge, Sharad Pawar, Uddhav Thackeray, Akhilesh Yadav, and Tejashwi Yadav, are expected to attend the rally at the Ramlila ground on March 31, amidst the backdrop of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's arrest.


According to the traffic advisory, traffic movement will be regulated and potentially restricted at various points including Ranjeet Singh Flyover from Barakhamba Road to Guru Nanak Chowk, Vivekanand Marg from Minto Road to roundabout Kamla Market, Hamdard Chowk, JLN Marg from Delhi Gate to Guru Nanak Chowk and Ajmeri Gate, roundabout Kamla Market to Guru Nanak Chowk, and Chaman Lal Marg near VIP Gate, Guru Nanak Chowk to Turkman Gate from 9 am to 3 pm.






Traffic Diversions In Delhi In View Of I.N.D.I.A Mega Rally


The advisory further stated that traffic diversion might be imposed on Rajghat Chowk, Minto Road, DDU Marg, Mirdard Chowk, Paharganj Chowk, A-Point, and Delhi Gate from 9 am onwards. It added that traffic regulations and diversions will be reviewed as required, and updates will be issued accordingly.


Commuters have been urged to cooperate by avoiding or bypassing the affected roads if possible and to make maximum use of public transport, especially metro services. Those heading towards ISBT, railway stations, or the airport have been advised to carefully plan their travel with sufficient time.


The general public and motorists have been advised to exercise patience, observe traffic rules and road discipline, follow the directions of traffic personnel deployed at all intersections, and remain updated through the advisory channels.
