A team of Delhi Police Crime Branch officials arrived at the residence of Delhi Minister Atishi on Sunday morning to serve a notice in connection with Aam Aadmi Party's 'poaching' allegation against the BJP. Sources told ANI that Atishi directed her camp office officials to receive notice from the officials.

This comes after Delhi Chief Minister and AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal was also served a notice by the crime branch officials over the claim that the BJP attempted to poach seven AAP MLAs. He has been asked to reply to the notice within three days.was given.

Reacting to the development, BJP MP Parvesh Verma says, "This is not the first time that Arvind Kejriwal has made such an allegation against BJP...Whenever any of their MPs or leaders are about to go to jail or get caught in some corruption, they try to divert people's attention... They never gave any details. This time our party lodged a complaint with the Delhi Police Commissioner. We cannot continue to tolerate these allegations levelled against us by the Delhi Chief Minister... Now, when Delhi Police went to his house to serve notice, he ran away."

A Delhi Police officer told PTI, "We have served the notice on him (Kejriwal). He can give the reply in three days in a written form." The Crime Branch has asked Kejriwal to reveal the names of AAP MLAs who were claimed to have been approached by the BJP.

Sharing a video of some police officials at his house, Kejriwal wrote on X, "It's their duty to stop crime in Delhi but they are being made to indulge in drama. That is why crime is rising in Delhi."

Last week, Kejriwal alleged that the BJP had offered Rs 25 crore to each of seven AAP MLAs tp quit the party in an attempt to topple his government.

Following this, Atishi convened a press conference and asserted that the BJP had initiated what she referred to as "Operation Lotus 2.0" in Delhi. "They had made a similar attempt to poach AAP MLAs last year by offering them money but failed," she said.

In response to these allegations, a delegation from the Delhi BJP, led by its chief, Virender Sachdeva, met with Sanjay Arora, the Commissioner of Delhi Police, on January 30, to request an investigation into the matter.

Subsequently, a team of Delhi Police officials attempted to serve a notice at Kejriwal's residence on Friday, but were unsuccessful as the individuals present at the residence declined to accept it. The team returned on Saturday and successfully delivered the notice, although there was disagreement between police officials and individuals at the CM's residence regarding the protocol for serving the notice.
