After Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal posted a picture of Manish Sisodia holding his wife on Saturday, highlighting the unfair treatment of a "person who gave hope to the poor children of the country," other AAP leaders, such as Raghav Chadha and Atishi, also expressed their emotions for the jailed leader on social media in heartfelt posts. Manish Sisodia, who is now involved in an alleged liquor fraud case, was granted permission by the court to visit his unwell wife for six hours on Saturday, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

After obtaining permission from a local court, the former Delhi deputy chief minister met with his ill wife on Saturday. Sisodia, who is being held in connection with the alleged booze fraud, was granted six hours in prison between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m.

Sisodia, accompanied by police officers, arrived at his residence on Mathura Road in a prison van at 10 a.m. and returned to the jail when the meeting time expired.

Taking to X (formerly known as Twitter), Raghav stated: “My eyes are moist after seeing this picture. Today Manish ji got permission to meet his ailing wife for a few hours. Manish ji will not be able to light the lamp at his home on Diwali tomorrow, but he definitely brightened the future of lakhs of children of Delhi."

“This picture shakes the soul… Manish Sisodia is the person who awakened a dream in the eyes of millions of children. One day Modi ji will have to pay the price for these tears in the eyes of his family," Delhi education minister Atishi wrote on X.

During the little time Sisodia spent with his wife, the AAP leader lighted diyas in his residence on 'Choti Diwali'. He did not mingle with the reporters who had gathered outside his home.

Kejriwal commented on a photo of Sisodia holding his wife as he was leaving his residence to return to jail, saying, "This picture is very painful."
