Three people were discovered dead under mysterious circumstances in Dwarka's Dabri area on Saturday evening, as reported by the Delhi Police. Among the deceased, two were identified as siblings, Sonu and Amit, hailing from Uttar Pradesh's Bareilly, while the identity of the third person is yet to be determined, news agency PTI reported. According to authorities cited by PTI, Sonu and Amit were residing in a rented accommodation in Dabri and operated a 'chhole bhature' vend in the local vicinity.

Preliminary investigations suggest that the third individual found dead was a helper at their shop, stated an officer, as per PTI's report.

"On Saturday evening, Sonu and Amit, along with an unidentified person, were found lifeless in their residence," remarked a police officer. All three victims were in the age bracket of 25 to 30 years. A mini LPG gas knob was discovered turned on in the house; however, the exact cause of their demise remains unknown, the officer added, according to the report.

The officer further disclosed that the deceased had consumed alcohol late at night. The bodies have been sent for post-mortem examination, and inquest proceedings are currently underway, PTI reported citing another police official. To gather evidence, a team from the forensic science laboratory (FSL) has been summoned to the scene.

Speaking to news agency ANI, Deputy Commissioner Of Police (DCP) Ankit Kumar Singh said, "When our PCR team and staff reached, we saw that people had died under suspicious circumstances in a room. Out of which, 2 brothers are residents of Bareilly and run a roadside shop. Investigation is being done, FSL team has been called. Further action will be taken in the matter as per law. The cause of death is not known yet."

He stressed that calling it a murder case would be premature.
