MCD Election 2022 Live: Delhi State Election Commissioner (SEC) Vijay Dev on November 4 announced dates for the long-due Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) polls. Delhi State Election Commission announced that voting for unified three municipal corporations - East Delhi Municipal Corporation, South Delhi Municipal Corporation and North Delhi Municipal Corporation - into one MCD will be held on December 4. Counting of the votes will be held on December 7 and the results will be announced the same day.


Kalkaji Assembly Constituency Wards*


In the Kalkaji Delhi assembly constituency, there are a total of three wards to go under poll in the 2022 MCD election. The names of the three wards of the Kalkaji assembly constituency are Sri Niwas Puri, Kalkaji, and Govind Puri.


1. Sri Niwas Puri: In the Kalkaji Delhi assembly constituency, Sri Niwas Puri is ward number one hundred seventy-five in the Delhi Civic Polls 2022 and has a total population of 70,489. The Sri Niwas Puri (Ward 175) MCD seat is unreserved.


2. Kalkaji: In the Kalkaji Delhi assembly constituency, Kalkaji is ward number one hundred seventy-six in the Delhi Civic Polls 2022 and has a total population of 45,038. The Kalkaji (Ward 176) MCD seat is reserved for women.


3. Govind Puri: In the Kalkaji Delhi assembly constituency, Govind Puri is ward number one hundred seventy-seven in the Delhi Civic Polls 2022 and has a total population of 74,610. The Govind Puri (Ward 177) MCD seat is unreserved.
