Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Sunday announced that special camps will be set up for the people who have lost their Aadhar cards and other important documents in the floods. Kejriwal was on a visit to a relief camp in north Delhi's Mori gate where he interacted with the affected people and made the announcement. While commenting on the waterlogging situation, he said that water was being pumped out from waterlogged roads and the situation was improving, news agency PTI reported.
While talking to the media, Delhi CM said, "The government will set up special camps for those whose Aadhaar cards and other key documents were washed away in the flood. We will again arrange for school dresses and books for students."
Meanwhile, Delhi Mayor Shelly Oberoi also visited the flood-affected Priyadarshini Colony in the Kashmere Gate area and interacted with the locals there. While talking to the media, she also said, "Here, people have told us that they lost so many important documents like Aadhaar & voter ID cards during the flood. We assure people that we will set up a camp so that they can make these govt documents soon."
Delhi Minister Saurabh Bharadwaj on Sunday said that the water level in Yamuna was going down at a good speed and in some time will go below the danger mark.
