A fire broke out at a theme-based adventure games area in Connaught Place, Delhi, as confirmed by officials from the Delhi Fire Services (DFS). Rushing five fire tenders to the location, DFS Chief Atul Garg stated, "So far, no injuries were reported", news agency PTI reported. The incident occurred at Mystery Rooms, a game arcade situated in Block M of the outer circle area of Connaught Place. Garg reassured, "Fire is under control," mentioning ongoing operations. However, the cause of the fire remains unknown at present.


 One person trapped inside the shop is being rescued with the help of firefighters, news agency ANI reported.

Fire Guts Restaurants, Shops In Delhi's Shaheen Bagh Area


Similarly, in southeast Delhi's Shaheen Bagh area, a fire engulfed three restaurants, two shops, and two flats, officials reported. The DFS received a distress call at 5.44 PM, indicating a fire outbreak in electric wires outside a restaurant on Shaheen Bagh's 40 Foota Road. According to Shaheen Bagh Resident Welfare Association member, Riyaz, despite immediate notification to the local police, the fire rapidly spread, necessitating the deployment of 18 fire tenders, PTI reported. It took approximately one and a half hours to bring the blaze under control.


Authorities suspect a short circuit in electric wires outside Zaika Restaurant as the possible cause, with the fire escalating quickly due to its intensity. Station officer Praveen Kumar from DFS clarified, "No LGP cylinder blast or any other incident took place", PTI reported No casualties were reported, although significant property damage occurred.


Videos circulating on social media depicted the dramatic scene, portraying buildings engulfed in flames as locals sought safety. Expressing concern, a local shopkeeper, Zubair Siddiqi, remarked, "Had it been controlled in time, this massive loss could have been averted."
